Sports Funding
The Sports Premium was introduced to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils so that they develop healthy lifestyles. It is ring-fenced and may only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in schools.
We place huge importance on the value of sport and physical activity at Woodcot. Physical education has numerous benefits for children’s health, as well as their mental wellbeing. This is something that is particularly important as we continue to support our children after the coronavirus pandemic. We provide many opportunities for our children to engage in physical activity, including swimming lessons for all year groups.
