SEND

Woodcot aims to support students with additional needs by removing barriers to learning and participation. We ensure that all students have access to an appropriate level of education that affords them the opportunity to achieve their personal potential and that they receive sufficient support to reach these goals.

Miss McBryde is our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and Mrs Bacon is our Nursery SENCO.

At Woodcot, having a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND) is not a barrier to accessing high quality inclusive learning and experiencing success. We value working in partnership with you as parents/carers as we believe this is vital for your child’s/young person’s success. The wellbeing and progress of all children is a priority and is continuously and carefully monitored through a 'graduated approach'.

Hampshire SENDIASS

Hampshire SENDIASS offer impartial and confidential information, advice and support to parents and carers.

Mental Health Support Team (MHST)

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) are part of the CAMHS early help service who offer support, advice, interventions to aid a pupils mental health if they are showing mild to moderate symptoms of mental health and/or behavioural difficulties or if they do not reach the threshold at a CAMHS assessment.

Hampshire SEND Service

Hampshire SEN Service is dedicated to supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The service’s primary function is to fulfil the local authority’s statutory obligation to assess, meet and review the needs of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), through engagement with families and support professionals.
